What Makes Linear Chandelier Lighting a Distinct Sourcing Category
Linear chandelier lighting occupies a specific position in the decorative lighting market — it's not a pendant, not a traditional round chandelier, and not a track system. The defining characteristic is the elongated, rectangular or bar-form body that distributes light across a horizontal axis, making it the fixture of choice wherever a long table, kitchen island, or open-plan commercial space needs balanced overhead illumination without a single focal point.
That geometry creates specific manufacturing requirements that separate a well-made linear chandelier from a poorly made one. The frame has to hold dimensional tolerance across its full length — a 1,200mm bar that sags 3mm at the center looks wrong on installation and is a warranty conversation you don't want to have. The suspension system has to distribute load evenly across multiple canopy points, which means the canopy hardware and cable lengths need to be matched to the frame weight, not just specified generically. And the LED driver placement inside a long, narrow housing creates thermal management considerations that a round chandelier body doesn't have.
Dimensional Tolerance
Frame must hold tolerance across full length — a 1,200mm bar that sags 3mm at center is a warranty conversation you don't want.
Load Distribution
Suspension system must distribute load evenly across multiple canopy points — hardware and cable lengths matched to frame weight, not specified generically.
Thermal Management
LED driver placement inside a long, narrow housing creates thermal considerations that a round chandelier body simply doesn't have.
We've been manufacturing chandeliers since 2008, and linear formats have been a growing share of our output for the past several years — driven by the hospitality and high-end residential segments that your buyers are likely already selling into. The product knowledge is built into how we spec and produce these fixtures, not retrofitted from a round-chandelier process.

Production Process: Where Linear Format Tolerances Are Won or Lost
The commercial risk in linear chandelier lighting is dimensional drift — a frame that measures correctly at the first unit but drifts across a 500-unit batch. We've seen this happen at assembly-only operations that buy pre-cast housings from multiple sub-suppliers: the casting tolerances stack up, and by the time the fixture is assembled, the suspension points don't align with the canopy hardware.
Our die-casting and CNC machining runs in-house. Aluminum alloy housings are cast and machined on-site, with CNC tolerances held to ±0.1mm on critical mounting dimensions — suspension attachment points, canopy interface, and lamp holder positioning. We run the same tooling across a production batch without mid-run swaps, which is the main variable that introduces dimensional drift in high-volume runs.
We made the investment in dedicated tooling per SKU rather than shared tooling across similar profiles — it adds upfront cost but eliminates the batch-to-batch variation that generates installation complaints.
Straightness Verification
For longer frames — anything above 1,000mm — we run a straightness check on the assembled body before surface finishing. A frame that passes dimensional inspection at the component level can still exhibit bow after assembly if the internal structure isn't correctly braced. We catch this at the pre-finish stage, where it's correctable, rather than after the fixture is packed.
In-House Surface Finishing
Surface finishing runs on our in-house line: electroplating, powder coating, and PVD. Powder coat thickness runs 60–80μm with automated application — consistent across the batch, not just the first units off the line.
Salt Spray Testing
For buyers supplying coastal or humid-climate markets, we run salt spray testing on finish samples before committing a batch to production. Matte black and brushed gold are our two highest-volume finishes on linear chandeliers right now; if your line is built around either, the process is dialed in.

Market Segments Where Linear Chandelier Lighting Moves Volume
Restaurant & Hospitality Fit-Outs
The highest-volume segment for linear chandelier lighting in our export markets. A mid-scale restaurant fit-out typically specifies 8–20 linear chandeliers over dining tables, with the designer specifying a consistent finish and color temperature across the space.
Hospitality procurement runs on project cycles — a single hotel or restaurant group can represent 200–500 units per project, and fit-out contractors in this segment reorder across multiple properties. If you're supplying fit-out contractors or FF&E procurement teams, linear chandeliers are a repeatable line item, not a one-off.
Kitchen Island & Open-Plan Residential
The segment driving the most growth in our North American and European buyer accounts. The shift toward open-plan layouts has made the linear dining chandelier the default specification for kitchen islands and dining areas in new residential construction and renovation.
Builders and interior designers in this segment typically specify 1–3 units per project, but the volume comes from the contractor's project pipeline — a residential contractor doing 50 homes a year is a meaningful account.
This segment also has strong e-commerce pull — buyers sourcing for their own homes search "rectangular dining room lighting" and "linear dining chandelier" specifically, which means your retail listings get organic traffic without heavy ad spend.
Commercial Office & Co-Working Spaces
Commercial offices and co-working spaces have adopted linear chandelier formats as a design-forward alternative to standard linear fluorescent or LED panel systems. The fixture reads as decorative while delivering functional illumination over conference tables and collaborative work areas.
Procurement in this segment runs through commercial fit-out contractors and A&D (architecture and design) firms — specification-driven, with compliance documentation requirements that our CE and UL certifications satisfy directly.
High-End Retail Environments
Flagship stores, showrooms, jewelry and watch retail — these environments use linear chandeliers over display cases and feature areas. The fixture's elongated form follows the geometry of display counters, and the decorative finish contributes to the premium environment the retailer is building.
Retail fit-out is project-based with tight timelines; our 25–35 day standard lead time on catalog items fits within most fit-out schedules.

Customization Parameters and What They Mean for Your Order
Linear chandelier lighting is one of the more customization-intensive products in our range — the format lends itself to length variation, finish specification, and light source configuration in ways that round chandeliers don't. Here's what's actually adjustable and what the constraints are.
Body Length
We can produce custom lengths from 600mm to 1,800mm in standard configurations, and longer on request for commercial installations. Custom length requires a minimum order quantity — below a certain run size, the tooling changeover cost doesn't make sense for either party.
For standard catalog lengths (typically 800mm, 1,000mm, 1,200mm, 1,500mm), MOQ is lower and lead time is shorter.
Finish
Any finish available on our surface finishing line — matte black, brushed gold, brushed nickel, chrome, antique brass, and custom colors via powder coat (RAL matching available). PVD finishes (brushed gold, rose gold, gunmetal) are available on metal components.
Custom finish development requires a sample approval step before production commitment.
Light Source Configuration
Standard production runs integrated LED modules. E27 or G9 lamp holder configurations are available for markets where end-users prefer replaceable lamp sources — relevant for buyers supplying markets with strong preference for user-serviceable fixtures.
Dimming protocol (TRIAC, 0-10V, DALI) is specified per order and matched to the driver selection.
Canopy and Suspension
Single-canopy and dual-canopy configurations are available depending on frame length and weight. Cable length is adjustable at installation; rod suspension is cut to specified length at the factory.
Custom canopy shapes and sizes are available for OEM projects.
OEM / ODM
Our R&D team runs 15 lighting engineers with an in-house optical lab. For OEM projects — your design, our production — prototype turnaround is 7–10 working days from approved drawings to physical sample.
For ODM — you bring a concept, we develop the production-ready design — our structural engineers work from reference images and target cost. We flag cost traps early (overly complex casting geometry, non-standard driver cavities) rather than quoting them in and surprising you at production.

Certification Coverage by Destination Market
Linear chandelier lighting ships to markets with different compliance requirements. Our certification portfolio covers the major import markets without requiring buyers to manage certification work on their end.
CE
Europe
Covers the EU and most European markets. Required for import and retail sale. Our CE certification covers the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and low-voltage directive requirements applicable to decorative luminaires.
UL
North America
UL listing is the standard compliance requirement for the US and Canadian markets. For buyers supplying US retailers, distributors, or commercial contractors, UL-listed fixtures clear import documentation and satisfy the compliance requirements of most commercial project specifications.
SAA
Australia / New Zealand
Required for the Australian and New Zealand markets. Buyers supplying Australian distributors or project contractors need SAA-certified fixtures to clear customs and satisfy AS/NZS standards.
SGS
General Export
General export quality verification, useful for buyers in markets where third-party audit documentation supports import clearance or buyer compliance requirements.
Markets Not Listed Above?
For buyers supplying markets not covered above, or for project specifications requiring specific test reports or Declarations of Conformity, we maintain documentation per SKU and can provide full compliance packages as part of the order documentation.
If your market requires a certification we don't currently hold, ask — we've added certifications for specific buyer markets before when the volume justified it.

Packaging for Freight Efficiency and Damage Prevention
Linear chandelier lighting is fragile in transit — the elongated frame, glass or acrylic diffuser elements, and pendant drops are all damage points if packaging isn't engineered for the fixture geometry.
We've seen what happens when a linear chandelier ships in a generic carton with foam corners: the frame flexes under compression, the diffuser cracks, and the buyer files a damage claim that erodes the margin on the order.
Our export packaging is engineered per SKU. Each fixture ships in an individual foam-lined carton with internal bracing matched to the frame length and suspension hardware. For fixtures with glass or acrylic diffusers, the diffuser ships separately within the same carton, protected by molded foam inserts.
Outer carton dimensions are optimized for 40HQ container loading — we calculate the loading configuration per SKU and provide container loading plans on request.
E-Commerce & Direct-to-Consumer Packaging
For buyers supplying e-commerce channels (Amazon, Wayfair, independent online stores), we configure packaging for direct-to-consumer shipment:

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the standard lead time for a custom-length linear chandelier?
For custom lengths using existing tooling (standard profile, new cut length), add 5–10 days to the standard 25–35 day production lead time. If the custom length requires new tooling — a new die or extrusion profile — add 15–20 days for the tooling cycle before production starts. We confirm tooling requirements and lead time at the quoting stage, before you commit to an order.
What dimming systems are compatible with your linear chandelier LED drivers?
We specify the driver per SKU based on your dimming requirement. TRIAC dimming is the most common for residential and hospitality applications — compatible with most leading-edge and trailing-edge dimmers in North American and European markets. 0-10V is standard for commercial applications where the dimmer is part of a building management system. DALI is available for projects requiring addressable control.
Specify your target dimmer infrastructure when requesting a quote and we'll match the driver accordingly. Dimmer compatibility is one of the most common field issues in decorative lighting — we'd rather spec it correctly upfront than troubleshoot it after installation.
What is the difference between your CE-certified and UL-listed linear chandeliers — can the same fixture carry both?
CE and UL are separate certification schemes with different test requirements. A fixture can carry both, but it requires testing and documentation under each standard. We hold both CE and UL on our core linear chandelier range, so buyers supplying both European and North American markets can source from the same SKU.
If you need a specific model certified for a market where we don't currently hold the certification, contact us — we can assess the feasibility and cost.
What body lengths are available without custom tooling?
Our standard catalog lengths for linear chandeliers are 800mm, 1,000mm, 1,200mm, and 1,500mm. These run on existing tooling, so lead time and MOQ are lower than custom lengths.
Lengths outside this range require tooling work — we'll confirm requirements and cost at the quoting stage.
How do you handle finish consistency across a large batch?
Automated powder coat application at 60–80μm thickness across the batch — not hand-applied, which is where batch-to-batch variation typically comes from. We run finish samples at the start of each production batch and check against the approved sample before committing the full run.
For PVD finishes (brushed gold, rose gold), we run the same PVD cycle parameters across the batch and inspect for color consistency before assembly. If a batch drifts outside the approved tolerance, it doesn't ship.
What is your MOQ for standard catalog linear chandeliers?
Wholesale only — strict MOQ applies. Contact us with your target SKU, finish, and destination market and we'll confirm current MOQ and pricing. Custom configurations carry higher MOQ than standard catalog items.
