LED Spotlights Built for Wholesale & Project Supply
Commercial-grade LED spotlights manufactured in-house from die-cast housing to driver integration. CE, UL, and SAA certified. Every unit passes 100% aging test before shipment. OEM/ODM with 7–10 day prototype turnaround.
We've been manufacturing LED spotlights since the transition from halogen was still a live debate in the industry. The product has matured, but the sourcing problems haven't: inconsistent beam angles batch to batch, drivers that fail at the 6-month mark, finishes that oxidize in coastal climates. Those are the failure modes we engineered around, and they're what this page covers.
What Separates Our LED Spotlights from Standard Market Product
LED spotlights are a commodity category on the surface — dozens of factories in Guzhen make something that looks identical in a catalog photo. The differences show up in the third batch, not the first sample. What we do differently comes down to three things: we cast and machine our own housings, we specify drivers per SKU rather than using a single driver across the range, and we run 100% aging test before anything ships.
In-House Die-Cast Housing
The housing is die-cast aluminum, machined in-house to ±0.1mm on the mounting flange and gimbal pivot. That tolerance matters when your installer is fitting 200 units into a suspended ceiling grid — if the flange diameter drifts 0.5mm across a production run, you get callbacks.
We run the same tooling across a full batch with no mid-run swaps, so the 500th unit off the line fits the same as the first.
We learned this the hard way after a run of recessed spotlights for a Gulf contractor came back with fitment complaints — the third-party housing supplier had changed tooling mid-batch without telling us. We brought housing production in-house the following year.
Per-SKU Driver Specification
Driver specification is where most factories cut corners. A single driver spec across a 5W–30W range means the 5W fixture is over-driven and the 30W is under-driven — both fail faster. We specify the driver per SKU: wattage-matched, with dimming compatibility and voltage range matched to the destination market.

CRI ≥90 Is Our Standard — Not an Upgrade Tier
For buyers supplying retail, hospitality, or gallery accounts where color accuracy affects their downstream customer's product presentation, we also run CRI ≥95 on request. The lumen output difference between the two is negligible; the driver cost difference is minor.
Most of our European buyers default to ≥95 now.
Optical Performance: Beam Control That Holds Across Batches
Beam angle consistency is the specification that most factories don't control tightly enough. A fixture labeled "24°" that ships at 28° in one batch and 21° in the next creates real problems for your buyers — retail display lighting that was spec'd for a specific throw distance stops working as intended, and the contractor gets the complaint.
We run photometric verification on production samples from every batch in our in-house optical lab. Lumen output and beam angle are checked against the approved spec. If a batch drifts outside ±2° on beam angle or ±5% on lumen output, it doesn't ship — we identify the cause (usually a lens seating issue or LED bin variation) and correct before packing.
The optical lab also generates IES files from our own measurements, not from the LED manufacturer's datasheet. For buyers whose project clients require IES files for lighting design software, we provide them per SKU.

Interchangeable Optic Modules
Interchangeable optic modules are available on our mid-range and premium spotlight lines — 15°, 24°, 36°, and 60° lenses that swap without tools. This matters commercially: a distributor can stock a single SKU and fulfill multiple beam angle requirements from the same inventory, rather than holding four separate SKUs.
We've seen buyers reduce their spotlight SKU count by 40–50% after switching to the interchangeable optic configuration.

Market Segments Where These Fixtures Move
Retail & Commercial Fit-Out Contractors
Highest-volume segment
A mid-size retail chain fit-out runs 50–200 spotlights per location, with rollout programs covering dozens of sites. The spec requirements are consistent: CRI ≥90, tight beam control, dimmable, and a finish that matches the brand's interior palette.
Our custom RAL finish capability and interchangeable optics make us a practical choice for these programs — the contractor can spec one fixture family across the entire rollout rather than mixing suppliers.
Hospitality Lighting Distributors
Hotels, restaurants, serviced apartments
A segment where CRI ≥95 and dimming compatibility are non-negotiable. These buyers typically run smaller per-project quantities (20–100 units) but reorder frequently as properties expand or renovate.
The margin profile is better than retail fit-out, and the specification cycle is longer, which means once you're on the approved supplier list, you stay there. Our DALI dimming option covers the building management system integration requirement that most hotel chains now specify.
Overseas Importers Building a Spotlight Line
Catalog builders, not project buyers
These buyers aren't buying for a specific project — they're building a catalog. For them, the interchangeable optic system and the finish range matter more than any single spec.
We've worked with importers in North America, Europe, and Australia who use our LED spotlights as the functional core of their decorative lighting range — the spotlight does the work, the pendant or chandelier does the visual statement. That combination sells well in the mid-to-premium residential and hospitality market.
Electrical Wholesalers
Contractor supply channel
Buying for contractor supply — these buyers need reliable stock availability and consistent specs across reorders.
Our 600,000-luminaire annual capacity across 6 production lines means a 10,000-unit annual program doesn't compete for line time with other customers' orders. Standard catalog items ship in 25–35 days from order confirmation.
Customization: What We Can and Can't Do
We run OEM and ODM on LED spotlights. Here's what that actually means in practice.
Housing & Form Factor
We can modify the housing geometry — aperture diameter, body depth, gimbal tilt range — within the constraints of our existing die tooling. Modifications that require new tooling add 15–20 days and a tooling cost that amortizes across the order volume.
For buyers with a specific design brief, our structural engineers work from reference images and target dimensions to develop production-ready drawings. Prototype turnaround is 7–10 working days from approved drawings to physical sample.
Finish
Any RAL color is available on runs of 100 units or more per finish. Below 100 units, the powder line changeover cost doesn't make sense for either side.
Brushed gold and matte black are our two highest-volume finishes — if your line is built around either, we have the process dialed in and can hold color consistency across multiple production runs.
Driver & Dimming
TRIAC, 0–10V, and DALI dimming are all available. Emergency backup driver integration is available for markets that require maintained emergency lighting compliance.
Specify your destination market and the dimmer infrastructure your buyers are working with — we'll configure the driver accordingly.
Optics
Custom beam angles outside the standard 15°/24°/36°/60° range are available for orders of 500 units or more per angle.
Frosted and diffused lens options are available for applications where glare control matters more than beam precision.
Branding
OEM packaging, custom labeling, and white-label options are standard. We don't require brand attribution on the fixture itself.
What We Don't Do
We don't modify certifications retroactively. If your market requires a certification we don't currently hold for a specific configuration, we'll tell you upfront rather than shipping product that can't clear customs.
We also don't do single-unit custom orders — MOQ applies, and it's enforced.
Certification Coverage by Market
CE, UL, and SAA are held and maintained — not pending, not "available upon request." This matters when your import documentation needs to be complete before the container loads, not after.
| Market | Certification Held |
|---|---|
| European Union | CE (LVD + EMC) |
| North America | UL |
| Australia / New Zealand | SAA |
| General export / audit | SGS |
| Quality management system | ISO 9001:2015 |
UL Listing — Complete Assembly
The UL listing covers the fixture as a complete assembly, including the driver. This is the detail that matters for North American electrical inspectors — a CE-only fixture with a separately listed driver doesn't satisfy the same inspection requirement.
The UL listing process took us 14 months the first time — we've maintained it continuously since because losing it would cost more than keeping it.
Regulated Market Support
For buyers importing into markets with specific energy efficiency requirements — California Title 24, Australia MEPS, EU ErP — we can provide the relevant test data and compliance documentation per SKU.
If you're building a product line for a regulated market, send us the compliance checklist and we'll confirm coverage before you commit to an order.
Production Process: Why Batch Consistency Holds
Most spotlight factories in Guzhen are assembly operations. They buy die-cast housings from one supplier, drivers from another, and put them together. When the housing supplier changes their alloy mix or the driver supplier substitutes a component, the factory often doesn't know until a quality problem surfaces in the field.
We cast and machine our own aluminum housings from ADC12 alloy — a die-casting grade with consistent fluidity and dimensional stability. The CNC machining step after casting holds the mounting flange to ±0.1mm and the LED board seating surface to ±0.05mm.
That seating tolerance matters for thermal performance: if the LED board doesn't make full contact with the housing, the junction temperature rises and the L70 lifespan drops. We've measured the difference — a 0.2mm gap at the board interface can reduce effective lifespan by 15–20% under continuous operation.
Mounting Flange
CNC-machined to ±0.1mm tolerance for consistent mechanical fit across every unit in the batch.
LED Board Seating
±0.05mm surface tolerance ensures full thermal contact. A 0.2mm gap reduces L70 lifespan by 15–20%.
Powder Coat Thickness
60–80μm automated application. Consistent thickness means consistent color and corrosion resistance across the entire batch.
Surface Finishing & Corrosion Resistance
Surface finishing runs on our in-house powder coat line at 60–80μm thickness with automated application. Consistent thickness across the batch means consistent color and consistent corrosion resistance — not just on the first units packed, but on the last ones too.
For buyers supplying coastal markets, we run salt spray testing on finish samples before committing a batch to production. The standard spec passes 500 hours; for coastal or marine-adjacent applications, we can run the 1,000-hour spec on request.
Salt Spray Testing
Standard: 500 hours. Coastal/marine-adjacent: 1,000 hours on request. Testing completed before batch commitment.
100% Aging Test — Every Unit, Every Batch
The 100% aging test runs every luminaire powered for a minimum burn-in period before packing. LED driver failures, wiring faults, and solder joint issues show up during burn-in, not in your customer's installation.
The failure rate we catch at this stage is low — typically under 0.3% — but those are failures that would otherwise become warranty claims and RMA freight costs on your end.
Packaging, Container Loading, and Logistics Readiness
Engineered for Ocean Freight
Each spotlight ships in an individual foam-lined inner carton, with outer master cartons rated for the compression forces of ocean freight stacking. We've seen damage patterns from specific routes — the Middle East and Australian lanes have higher handling variability than European routes — and we've adjusted inner carton foam density and outer carton wall thickness accordingly.
For FBA and e-commerce fulfillment buyers, we can configure packaging to Amazon FBA requirements: FNSKU labeling, poly-bag requirements for small parts, and carton dimension/weight compliance for standard warehouse receiving. White-label packaging with your brand artwork is standard — we maintain print-ready templates for carton and inner box artwork.
Route-Specific Packaging

Container Optimization
Carton dimensions optimized for loading. 5–8% improvement in units per container is real money on large programs.
Container Loading Efficiency
A standard 40HQ container loads approximately 2,000–3,000 units of our mid-range spotlight SKUs depending on fixture size and carton configuration. We optimize carton dimensions for container loading as part of the order setup — a 5–8% improvement in units per container is real money on a large program.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from distributors, specifiers, and project buyers about our LED spotlight range.
What is the minimum order quantity for LED spotlights?
MOQ varies by configuration. Standard catalog SKUs have a lower MOQ than custom configurations. Contact us with your target SKU and volume — we'll confirm MOQ and lead time together.
What dimming systems are compatible with your LED spotlights?
We configure drivers to match your specified dimming infrastructure. TRIAC (leading-edge and trailing-edge), 0–10V, and DALI are all available. Specify the dimmer brand or protocol your buyers are working with and we'll confirm compatibility before production.
The most common issue we see is TRIAC compatibility with older leading-edge dimmers — if your market has a mix of dimmer vintages, the 0–10V option eliminates that variable entirely.
Why do LED spotlights lose brightness after 6–12 months in some installations?
The most common cause is thermal management failure — the LED junction temperature is running higher than the design spec, accelerating lumen depreciation. This usually traces back to one of three things:
- The LED board isn't making full thermal contact with the housing (a manufacturing tolerance issue)
- The driver is running the LED above its rated current (a driver spec mismatch)
- The fixture is installed in an enclosed space without adequate airflow
Our in-house machining holds the board seating surface to ±0.05mm, and we specify drivers per SKU at rated current — both of those eliminate the first two causes.
For the third, we can provide thermal simulation data for enclosed installation scenarios on request.
Can you supply IES files for lighting design submissions?
Yes. We generate IES files from our own photometric measurements in our in-house optical lab — not from the LED manufacturer's datasheet. Files are available per SKU and can be provided as part of the order documentation or in advance for project specification purposes.
What's the difference between your LED spotlights and your adjustable spotlights?
The LED spotlight range covers standard fixed-position and limited-tilt configurations optimized for consistent batch production and catalog distribution.
The adjustable spotlight range has a wider mechanical tilt and rotation range — typically ±45° tilt and 350° rotation — suited for applications where the beam direction needs to be repositioned after installation.
If your buyers are fitting out retail spaces that rearrange displays seasonally, the adjustable range is the right product.
Do your LED spotlights meet energy efficiency requirements for North American and European markets?
CE-marked product meets EU ErP Directive requirements for the relevant wattage tiers. UL-listed product meets North American safety requirements.
For California Title 24 or DLC compliance, contact us with the specific requirement and we'll confirm whether the relevant SKU qualifies or what configuration adjustment is needed.
